Information and Communications Technology, also known as ICT is everywhere. It is basically used for everything. From school and back home we face the world of technology. This blog itself is a form of communicating through the use of technology, and so, giving information to readers. Yet, technology is not just limited to social networking sites like Facebook, search engines like Google, and calling a friend using a cellphone. Actually, ICT is the use of television, cars, and GPS's too.I believe that there are numerous advantages of these new computer developments.
I don't know how it happened but it just did. I learned about a keyboard and soon started typing. Through the years I've learned more about this technological devices that I can use for more productive reasons. One example of this is the use of Microsoft office or other programs just like it wherein I can write or type my assignments/projects anywhere from the computer at school, to my laptop in my house to anywhere I bring my cellphone. Another, is the use of a Google account, in which I recently learned and practiced. I think I can use the term "cool" because it is. There is so much more to learn about it.
ICT is present in the corporate world, market area, fashion industry, government, hospitals, schools, homes and even in a car. Information and Communication Technology has taken over the world that they also put up internet cafes too. ICT is very helpful in our everyday lives. It helps us to express our feelings, to draw our minds, to share information, and most importantly to connect to the world.
I think the impact of ICT has changed the world. The internet joined the many countries and united them through the world wide web. It is so wonderful that such inventions exist because I can collaborate with my friends online which we just learned at school. But, I also think that there are a few disadvantages for using technology. One reason is the use of the internet for assignments, there are times where we cannot connect to what was given and so it affects our lessons. Another is abusing the power of technology by sharing inappropriate posts.
Overall I think there are more advantages of ICT than disadvantages. It all ends up to the user himself/herself to become a responsible netizen.
